Check out a newer (2020) updated version of this post on my new blog: Nerdy Guides: Ultimate Guide To Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
This one is going to be short and very sweet! I know I’ve mentioned all of the amazing food and drink at both Universal Orlando and Wizarding World in some other posts, but I thought it would be good idea to put all of my Wizarding World favorites into 1 post. Easy access am I right?
Wizarding World is filled with sweet treats and amazing drinks! Prepare to gorge yourself on the Wizarding Worlds finest.
I know every list will have butter beer as their number 1 and for good reason! Butterbeer is amazing and is prepared in a variety of different ways. There is regular old butterbeer, frozen butterbeer and even hot butterbeer. It is non-alcoholic and delicious! I’ve never had the opportunity to try it warm because it’s always been hot when we have been to Universal, BUT I bet it’s amazing.
As I mentioned in this post we preferred the Leaky Cauldron over the Three Broomsticks. Any fan of Harry Potter will feel the need to eat at the Leaky Cauldron. We suggest you go in the morning and try the full English breakfast. While it’s not exactly like the real deal (Corey is a full English breakfast connoisseur at this point) it’s still really good. We’ve also been here for lunch and loved the fish and chips and bangers and mash. The sticky toffee pudding is amazing too. Remember if you get the pea soup, make sure you eat it before it eats you!
If you love fall inspired drinks you will love pumpkin juice. It’s just so good. Remember that quote from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when Harry spits out the Skele-Gro and Madame Pomfrey says,” What d’you expect? Pumpkin juice?” It’s that good.
This is a must, afterall, Harry practically living in Diagon Alley before his 3rdyear, and Fortescue sent him a sundae every half hour while he studied. You can get in on that too! That sell both soft serve and hard pack ice cream, as well as, sundaes. Our favorite flavor was soft serve Butterbeer, but they also offer hard pack Earl Grey & Lavender, Clotted Cream and Sticky Toffee Pudding, yum!
Just because we liked the Leaky Cauldron a little better doesn’t mean that we skipped the Three Broomsticks. They also offer a full English breakfast that is the exact same as the Leaky Cauldron breakfast. Here we chose to dine on Smoked Turkey Legs which were really good. We also tried Hog’s Head Brew and Dragon Scales!
This pub is known for attracting interesting clientele and you can be one of them. If you have a hard time finding it that’s because it’s located IN the Three Broomsticks. It’s famous for Hog’s Head Brew that you have to try but they also offer, Newcastle, Boddingtons and Guinness.
Yep, another pumpkin inspired drink. You can go into the Three Broomsticks and order a pumpkin fizz (it’s on the secret menu). This drink is straight from the pages of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It’s basically carbonated pumpkin juice, yes please!
This is THE place to go for sweet treats in Wizarding World. “There were shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable.” (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban). In this spectacular sweets shop you can find the well-known chocolate frog, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and Fizzing Whizbees. Don’t forget to try a cauldron cake, pumpkin pasty or butterbeer fudge. The butterbeer fudge
This is a kiosk that you can find in Diagon Alley that features different potions that can be added to water. You can purchase elixirs by themselves or buy a Gilly Water to add them to. Either way the Fire Potion (strawberry – watermelon combo) is awesome!
So there you have the list, all together, in a sweet little package! Your perfect little sips and eats pocket reference, if you will.
